We can easily become creatures of habit and fall into a routine in life, especially if things are going well. But sometimes God will stir us to step out of our comfort zones to fulfill His purposes.
God wants us to be willing to step out into the unknown just like Peter did when Jesus called him to walk out to him on the water. As he kept his eyes on Jesus he was able to do it, but when he looked at his circumstances, he started to sink. But even when he started to go under, Jesus was there to save him.
Is God calling you to new things? Be willing to step out and let go of your comfort and security. Isaiah 43:19 (MSG) says, “Forget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new. It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it? There it is!”
Today is a new day. An adventure awaits each of us, but we must keep our eyes on Jesus and follow Him into new things!
